Here is a slideshow that I had posted earlier but for some reason dropped off my server.   In any case here is an exciting slideshow from an awesome wedding.

The awards tonight were pretty cool, I absolutely love Ellen Degenres because she has such a self effacing personality and her giving the script to Marty Scorsese and then having Spielberg take her photo with Clint Eastwood.  I think she’ll be back to host a few more times and IMHO she has been one of the best hosts in recent years.

Now the thing that really got me were the picks for the main categories.   First and foremost, it was Marty’s night with The Departed…

This movie has STAR POWER…  Damon, Nicholson, Dicaprio, Sheen and Baldwin are some of the biggest names and they are all in here and they are directed by Scorsese.  Marty is a GREAT director and yeah some of his stuff is overrated at times (Ragging Bull) but this one was right on.

Oh and how can you forget Forest Whittaker, even tough I wanted Will Smith to win it was nice to see Forst Whittaker take the award home.  I loved him in Phenomenon with Travolta but in the Last King Of Scotland he was a notch above.

Then you can’t forget Jennifer Hudson from AI…  So she didn’t make the Idol cut but GOOD LORD does that girl have someone looking out for her?  I doubt she had ANY idea when she was cut from AI that in a few short years I will be accepting the OSCAR for best supporting actress.  Good for her on all counts and quite honestly this should make people think before they vote on AI.

Ok this should give you a keen insight into my thought process and how I can take things I remember from the past and apply them to the present.  This is also a good idea on how not to count someone out and how life can take unexpected turns.

In the Late 90s during the pop queen era we had a few queens that were on top of the charts, Britney, Christina, Jessica and Lance Bass.  There were others as well but really the two frontrunners were Brittney and Christina.  We all remember Christina from her days of Dirty and Genie in a Bottle where she was the provocative one and Brittney was the wholesome one.  Of course there was always the ever present Fake or Real issue with Brittney but for the most part, she was with Justin and it looked like they would be together forever.  Now I would like to go on record and say that I always prefered Christina over Brittney simply for two things…

 1.  She knew who she was and had no issue with it.

 2.  She sang better….

Fast forward 10 years or so and this past weekend they were again both on TV but for different reasons…

  • Christina was on TV for performing on the NBA All Stars Half time show
  • Brittney for SHAVING HER HEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!

I mean how do you go from…

To….

Oh what a waste…    SO SAD!!!!

But then again it goes to show that if you are true to yourself and keep yourself grounded even if it is by hot guys in a mud pit you will sooner or later get the recognition if your work is good.  I base my entire business on the fact that if I do good work consistantly people will have no problems refering me to their friends and family.

Now if we can just get Brittney back to her Rolling Stones hotness we’ll be doing good.

I think she needs to hire me for her next photo shoot.

My friend LIZ who is a professional model up in Kansas came through town and we decided to do a fun session on a movie set that I discovered driving around one day…  This is not my normal thing as I often like to photograph girls in wedding dresses but the combination of a beautiful model and a movie set just asked to be photographed.

Liz was just chilling in my former studio and I just saw this beautiful patch of light on her face..  Good thing I always carry a camera with my 70-200 along that let’s me zoom in and get lovely shots like these.

Here is Liz on the movie set which is designed to look like bombed out Iraq, I just love the warm tones on her skin contrasting with the rusted door and the blue jeans she is wearing.

Here is Liz with her boyfriend, this is one HOT HOT HOT couple…   Like really hot!!

Here is a shot of the two of them with a painterly effect, I just love the way his face is slightly covered by her face.  Just for the record, if I missed saying this before i’ll say it again, this couple is HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love slideshows because they are so cool…  Always set to Rascal Flatt’s “God Bless The Broken Road” or “Isn’t She Lovely” by Stevie Wonder and the images float across the screen.  UHH NOT!!!.   I decided to do things a bit differently and had a fellow photographer come along and shoot something like 1800 shots all in sequences and then put together this slideshow.  I think it showcases my energetic style, and also shows you the comfort level my clients have with me.   For the record, I do make a few cameos in there as Tony was nice enough to bring me into the frame with the stunning and the ever gorgeous Courtney….

To the person who gave me the flu virus at the workshop 2 days ago….   THANKS A LOT!!!

Was Jerry Jones thinking by hiring Wade Phillips?  I guess he did get someone for his 3-4 Defence he’s been wanting to run for a while and really one with ZERO playoff wins so anything he does in comparison to his prior performance will be a step up.

I seriously think that Jerry got himself a proxy coach who was looking for yet ONE MORE CHANCE in the big leagues.   Why oh Why didn’t he get Norv Turner or even get Jason Garette to be the new head coach?  Look at what happened to the MAVS when Avery Johnson took over, heck he could have gone and asked Troy Aikman to leave his broadcasting duties and put on a headset…  He would have been a GREAT coach compared to Wade Phillips.

P.S.  Now if they do end up winning a few games in the playoffs, I’ll be the first one to come on here and apologize or delete this post so there is no trace of it..
