Today I joined Payton and Ryan at the Fort Worth Japanese gardens to shoot their engagement session. I have to tell ya, the sheer amount of rain we have had in the Dallas/Fort Worth area has made any place with greenry into a sauna and we felt it today. Even with the heat and the humidity Payton and Ryan were real troopers and I had a great time hanging with them. We shot for about 1.5 hours at the Japanese gardens and then headed out to my secret shooting spot in downtown Fort Worth to finish up.

Here are some of the images from the session

This is my signature shot, I just love the intimacy of the shot.

The bamboos add interesting lines to the image here, altough the kiss isn’t bad either.

I decided to go with a high color look for this shot, the day light was changing so fast that the bridge was in shade one second and then bright sunny harsh light the next.

Payton said this is the peeping tom shot but you just can’t pose smiles like the one she has here so you just have to have faith in the love shared by the couple and let it unfold.

Today I wanted to go to a place that was not as pretty. I just love the urban decay and the texture that comes along with it. When you have a couple as good looking at Ryan and Payton sometimes you need to let their beauty shine through.

Thank you Ryan and Payton for making this fun for me and I hope you had as much fun as I did. I am really looking forward to the bridal session and to the actual wedding day. There are a lot more images from the session that I will post in a week and a half so stay tuned to the blog.

Binish and Shayan were my 7/7/7 couple and I gotta say they knew how to party. This was a traditional Pakistani wedding where events were spread over 6 days. Hanging out with these two for 6 days was awesome not only because they know how to have a great time but I also got to know their families and friends who really made my job a lot easier.

Here are some photos in no particular order that struck me as KEWL!!

They had some great dances and Jenna really knew how to bring down the house. I could so see Jenna on So You Think You Can Dance and actually winning it… She’s really that good.

They had a HUGE 3000SQFT tent with A/C that had amazing lighting.

Married and now performing the Khoba Khobi ceremony where I believe it was Shayan who came up with the coin.

Marriott in Las Colinas, couldn’t have asked for a better venue.

A Fashiony shot of the couple.

I love the sidewalk by the lake behind the Marriott.

Fast forward to the following day, Binish is finally leaving her home and is being sent of by her family to her new home. Binish is throwing rice as she leaves her home, I just love the arc formed by the rice.

The sisters meeting once more before Binish leaves for her home.

When my buddy Randal (www.djrandal.com) invited me to come photograph him at the debut of his new toyset I was slightly intrigued. He called this new “toy” the Rockstar Stage and that it was guaranteed to turn any reception into a full fledged rock concert full with live video feeds, killer lights and an amazing sound system.

Well an avid music fan and a sucker for killer lights I decided I would go photograph some publicity shots for Randal. Well ladies and ladies it’s safe to say that I wasn’t disappointed, the sound system was rocking and the rockstar set was something else.

Randal confessed to me that he had to hold back from the full compliments of lights cause the venue didn’t meet the power requirements for the full setup. Still I think it was an amazing display of lights, video and talent that is DJ Randal. Seriously folks, to make sure you never EVER forget your wedding, hire me and then hire randal so he can bring his rockstar set and get Shari Johns of As You Wish Events (www.asyouwishevents.com), who actually got a standing ovation from the guests for putting on such a killer event. aite??

Here are some photos to show ya’ll the colors I had to play around with…
