Last weekend I photographed Neepa and Nomit’s wedding in Grapevine, TX. It was a traditional gujrati wedding followed by anything but traditional reception. It was a fun filled night that Neepa and Nomit’s friends will be talking about for a while. Here are some images from the wedding and the reception.

This was the mandap where they got married. I have never seen anything like this, it was completely lit and the pillars revolved in place.

The barat started at the front of the hotel with everyone dancing up a storm.

Even Nomit got into the spirit and danced right before he entered the hall for the ceremony.

Here is Neepa escorted by her parents.

She is all smiles after seeing Nomit.

Neepa’s parents giving her hand to Nomit.

Neepa leading Nomit around the agni.

Then it was Nomit’s turn to lead Neepa.

Nomit’s grand pa laughing at the guys who wouldn’t let Nomit go until he paid them off.

Neepa and her dad getting emotional during Neepa’s Vidai (leaving her family for Nomit’s)

Neepa’s mom was very emotional as well.

Nomit and Neepa left in an Aston Martin, gotta give it up for style.

Playing around with some textures.

An awesome cake for the reception.

Ok so it only took me 4 parts to blog about this wedding but i’m trying to save a few surprises when the gallery goes online tomorrow night.. :-)

Here are some more shots from the couple session and the reception and I gotta tell ya, the food at the reception was off the hook and they do know how to party down there..

Love capturing moments such as these totally unposed and very spontaneous.

Yeah they pretty much kept on kissing all night when they were not dancing up a storm..

Kim’s brother officially got the party started with I believe a Michael Jackson song..

We had a blast on the dance floor, everyone in this family can dance and very well I might add.

our lovely couple sharing a moment while everyone else is partying..

I always make sure we get a few shots of the couple during the day and here we happened to get some nice romantic shots on our way back up to the main lobby.

Love the colors in Mexico.

One last shot as they walk to their rooms..

I have to say that shooting in Cabo was another great experience and now i’m looking forward to working with Kim and Kevin on the design of their album and tell their story for them to cherish for years. Thanks for having me along guys, it was a BLAST!!!

Welcome to part 3 of the of Kim and Kevin’s wedding blog. There are truly tons of GREAT images from this wedding that it’s tough to tell the story with just a few. The wedding day was actually fairly relaxing with the wedding party either playing water volleyball or dune buggy riding. However they started getting into wedding mode around 2:00 PM since the wedding was around 6:00 PM.

Let’s start with the images:

Kim is getting her hair done in the suite, the RIU has some amazing room with excellent window lighting coming through

The flowers looked as good as they smelled, what an amazing bouqet.

The guys had just about enough of Kevin so they decided to rough him up a bit. LOL!! Love setting up stuff like this because you never know the reactions taht you will get.

The girls for a relaxed group shot by the resturaunt. I loved the color of the wall and the lighting was just perfect.

The inside of the resturant, the food display and the counters made for some interesting texture in the background.

Here is Kevin arriving at the church for the ceremony.

That smile could only mean one thing.

Yep here is Kim coming down the aisle for the ceremony in a quaint church in downtown Cabo.

The church was really small but it accomodated everyone who had travelled to the wedding including the rooster and the bell.

Right after the ceremony is my favorite time, it is when you get some real emotions and moments.

This shot says it all right here!!!

Stay tuned tomorrow for the reception and the bridal party photos.

So you came back for more… SCHWEEEET, let’s talk about this plot of land in Arizona.. no? Ok let’s get on with the photos then.

So where were we? OH YEAAA!! You guys were enjoying a few ice cold coronas while I was busy working away. Well put down the beer and take a look see at some of the shots from day two.

So I was wondering why the waters are so rough (rougher than normal for Cabo) and then it dawned on me, we had a hurricane headed our way. These two are still down there and ya’ll pray that nothing bad happens down there. They were real troopers and in their rehearsal clothes jumped into the water and braved the sand and surf for some photographic fun.

Real moments only happen when you create the environment for it… No way to fake smiles like these you know.

Too cute!!!!

Since we couldn’t get out to lovers beach I decided to use the rock formations as a cool background element.

My buddy COLE!!!!!! He is an amazing trooper and was totally with it during the entire wedding.

Cole’s dad and Kim’s brother giving Kevin a tough time for not taking him on the fishing trip.. LOL!!!! I think by the end of the wedding he got over it, I think.. You gotta watch out for this one, he’s an animal as you’ll see in the rest of the shots.

Our beautiful bride laughed throughout the entire rehearsal dinner, she has such an infectious laughter and an amazing attitude towards life.

Kim’s mom getting emotional at the rehearsal dinner..

All I gotta say is EVAN IS DA MAN!!!!!!!! Ladies, I want him at everyone of my weddings, seriously…

See what I mean? These two are my official Smokin Hot couple of the trip!!

Oh look Shelby found some more beer for ya’ll, and even got a Federali to help her carry it.. now that’s a girl who can get a guy to do what she wants. Well since we got beer, drink up, i’ll be back with more tomorrow.

I flew down to Cabo once more to photograph the wedding of Kim and Kevin and I gotta say they pulled out all the stops. First we were at the Riu Palace, quite possibly the best resort in Cabo. They really know how to do customer service well down there. Our rooms were comfortable and the ammenities were killer. The humidity was high which kinda played havoc with my lenses but it was alright.

I walked away with so many killer shots that it will take me a few days to work them up and blog about them. Soooooo to do this wedding justice (and cause I want ya’ll to visit me again and again) i’m gonna do this in a 5 part blog post. Starting with the hotel and the couple session on the beach, then some more couple session on the beach and the rehearsal, then the wedding itself, then the bridal party photos and then culminating the blog entries with the amazing reception.

The wonderful resort, the skies and the colors were just amazing and the pool was something that you would not want to get out of.

Sometimes you just have to look up for inspiration and you’ll find skies and trees that just want to be photographed.

Another great resturaunt at the resort and this one will come to play in the last few blog posts.

Such a cute couple at the beach, I got tons of shots from this session, some I will post tomorrow.

The true test of love, what do you do when the crazy photographer asks you to kiss just as a HUGE wave breaks behind you? Well you just kiss and forget about the rest and know that we’ll walk away with an amazing photo.

So while I get some rest, you guys get a few cold ones too…
