Those that know me, know of my almost fanatical adulation of the movies, more specifically those in the fantasy/sci fi/comic-superhero genre. Those that share my love for the genre also know of a gentle giant known as Stan Winston. Who is Stan Winston? Only the creator of The Terminator, the dinosaurs of Jurassic Park, Edward Scissorhands and a ton of other creatures that we see on screen. He also worked on movies such as Pearl Harbor, Iron Man, Big Fish, Galaxy Quest and a whole slew of movies that benefited from his SFX wizardry.

He passed on from our world on the 15th leaving behind iconic creations and a studio that will no doubt carry his legacy for decades to come.

RIP Stan, you will be missed!!!
