I photographed Nikki and Tony’s engagement photos a few weeks ago in Fort Worth, TX. Nikki’s bridals are going to be photographed in Denver and we’re planning a really awesome shoot.. Their wedding is well over a year away so we’re gonna take some time to plan out the session and hit a few out of the ball park.

Now for the photos..

So prior to my trip to Tampa I had photographed Jashley and Grant’s engagment session in Fort Worth. These two are absolutely amazing and really fun to photograph. We started VERY early in the day and I have to say it was REALLY cold outside. I think it was in the mid thirties but gosh the wind made it feel like the lower thirties. Well we shot in the Fort Worth Botanical gardens but this time around I made it a point to not do any of the usual botanical garden shots. I tried to capture these two and the love they have for each other in the most honest way I know how. Just let them be with each other and let love do it’s thing.

Here are the shots….

Today I joined Payton and Ryan at the Fort Worth Japanese gardens to shoot their engagement session. I have to tell ya, the sheer amount of rain we have had in the Dallas/Fort Worth area has made any place with greenry into a sauna and we felt it today. Even with the heat and the humidity Payton and Ryan were real troopers and I had a great time hanging with them. We shot for about 1.5 hours at the Japanese gardens and then headed out to my secret shooting spot in downtown Fort Worth to finish up.

Here are some of the images from the session

This is my signature shot, I just love the intimacy of the shot.

The bamboos add interesting lines to the image here, altough the kiss isn’t bad either.

I decided to go with a high color look for this shot, the day light was changing so fast that the bridge was in shade one second and then bright sunny harsh light the next.

Payton said this is the peeping tom shot but you just can’t pose smiles like the one she has here so you just have to have faith in the love shared by the couple and let it unfold.

Today I wanted to go to a place that was not as pretty. I just love the urban decay and the texture that comes along with it. When you have a couple as good looking at Ryan and Payton sometimes you need to let their beauty shine through.

Thank you Ryan and Payton for making this fun for me and I hope you had as much fun as I did. I am really looking forward to the bridal session and to the actual wedding day. There are a lot more images from the session that I will post in a week and a half so stay tuned to the blog.

Today I had a blast with Binish and Shayan while shooting their engagement session.  Their wedding is on 7/7/7 which is a HUGELY popular date for folks to get married.  Recently I found out that some are even having their ceremony at 7:00 to add that extra bit of good luck.  Binish and Shyan are fun to hang out with and really fun.  Binish wanted to have the session in a botanical garden so we headed over to the Botanical Gardens in Fort Worth.  Here are some photos from the session…

More to follow in a week or so…

Yesterday after 7 days of non-stop rain I was nervous if we would be able to do Katie and Brad’s engagement photos in Dallas.  Well I think Katie has connections in some higher places cause it stopped raining (sure it was humid as heck but no rain!!!) and we even had the sun peak out at times from the clouds.  We had a great time and I am looking forward to their wedding as these two crack me up and are totally into each other.  Here are some shots from our session yesterday, more to follow including a slideshow..

Shooting in Deep Ellum, I absolutely love the variety of backgrounds and extures we can get there for our session.

Katie and Brad were so easy to work with, we ended up getting some killer images right in one spot.

Ok I think he looks like Bret Farve…   She has a very contagious smile, makes everyone so happy just being around her.

A nice romantic shot and I love the light that I found in this front porch of a bar.  Sometimes the simple things make for the best photos.

The windows add such a nice separation and oh the kiss is not bad either….  LOL!!!
